LCD cover panel 

The cover panel for the LCD area is offered as a separate option.

This decision comes from our experience with earlier gauge kits for NA and NB models, where some owners had to give up on the product purely because the full set was beyond their budget.

To avoid the same situation with the ND, we chose to keep the main Metal Gauge Kit as affordable as possible and make the LCD cover panel optional. As the founder of RS Products, I still remember being in my early twenties around 1996, saving up part-time wages to buy parts for my own car. There were many items I could only admire in catalogues and never actually own. Because I know that feeling well, I wanted to do what I can for younger ND owners today.

Originally this option was available only for clusters with a monochrome LCD, but we have now developed a dedicated cover panel for clusters with the full-color TFT multi-information display as well. To preserve as much exposed metal surface as possible, the leftmost road-sign / information selector area is handled with a slit-style opening rather than a full window.


For the TFT version of the LCD cover panel, this slit design may make parts of the display graphics slightly harder to see, depending on the country or region. Please be aware of this point in advance when considering the option.

We are currently preparing an updated version with a larger visible display area than the one shown in these photos. When shipments start in March, your kit will include this revised panel as standard.
